RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. (WTVA) - A crash Tuesday night in Franklin County, Alabama, claimed the life of an elderly man.
According to Cpl. James Howard of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of State Highway 243 and County Road 79 at approximately 8:15 p.m.
A pick-up truck and a car collided.
The driver of the truck, 82-year-old Milton Alexander of Russellville, was killed.
The driver of the car, a 25-year-old from Phil Campbell, was taken to the hospital in Russellville for non-life-threating injuries.
According to the state highway patrol, Alexander was unrestrained and died at the scene of the crash.
