JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said a traffic accident in Oktibbeha County is the second death from the recent winter storms that paralyzed much of the Magnolia State.
The first death happened in Neshoba County with a motor vehicle accident.
MEMA also reported receiving damage reports on ten homes and one business in Grenada County along with one home and five businesses in Marshall County.
Also in Marshall County, an interstate natural gas pipeline ruptured in Waterford Saturday, forcing people to leave eight homes.
State Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley said power outages across Mississippi fell from 70,000 Saturday morning to 39,730 Saturday night.
