TUNICA, Miss. (WTVA) - A fire claimed the life of a Tunica County K9 named Blade.
According to the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office, the fire happened Saturday, Dec. 5 at a home in Tunica.
A sheriff’s deputy/K9 handler lived at the home with his family and Blade.
Blade was unable to be rescued from the fire.
Five people were inside the home at the time of the fire. They all managed to escape safely.
Tunica police and the state fire marshal’s office are investigating the blaze.
Tunica County is located along the Mississippi River just south of Memphis, Tennessee.
