JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - During the weekend, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 3,608 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths.
The numbers are from the three-day period of July 23-25. The daily average is 1,202.
Two deaths happened between July 21-22 in DeSoto and Pearl River counties.
The remaining four deaths happened between June 8 and July 17, identified from death certificate reports, in Harrison, Rankin (2) and Tishomingo counties.
Since the onset of the pandemic in March 2020, the MSDH has reported 336,788 total cases and 7,508 total deaths.
During the same period, the MSDH also reported 315,209 recoveries.
