Report: Man attacks parents, kills father, Clinton police say

The Clinton Police Department is investigating after they say a man killed his father.

CLINTON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Clinton Police Department is investigating after they say a man killed his father.

According to WLBT-TV in Jackson, officers responded to a report of domestic violence at a home on Tulane Drive at approximately 1 a.m. Monday.

Police say William Thomas assaulted his parents.

Shelton Thomas, his father, died in the assault, and his mother received injuries.

William Thomas is in custody but is in critical condition at a local hospital.

Police say the situation is drug-related, domestic violence murder.

Charges are pending.
