JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - President Donald Trump approved a disaster declaration to help Mississippi counties recover from the storms, flooding, and mudslides that hit the state in mid-February.
The president ordered federal assistance to help state, tribal, and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by the storms, flooding, and mudslides from Feb. 10 to Feb. 18.
Funding is available for Attala, Carroll, Claiborne, Clay, Copiah, Grenada, Hinds, Holmes, Leflore, Warren, and Yazoo counties.
Additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by the state and warranted by the results of further damage assessments.
