JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The state says more public high school students in Mississippi are taking exams to get college credit.
The Mississippi Department of Education says more than 20 percent of the 2017 graduating class took an Advanced Placement Exam, according to the College Board.
It's actually 12,206 AP Exams that were taken.
MDE says that is double the percentage of graduates who took an AP Exam over the last 10 years.
