JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — The Mississippi State Department of Health reported four new cases of coronavirus on Sunday which puts the statewide total at ten.
Two of the cases are in Hinds County, which is where Jackson is located. This is the first time any coronavirus cases have been reported there. Apparently, one of those cases is a Jackson State University student who is isolated at home.
Another case turned up in Copiah County. The final case is in Pearl River County. Both counties previously reported coronavirus cases.
At the moment, there are no reported cases of coronavirus in our area. The closest case in Mississippi is in Leflore County.
