JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 791 new COVID-19 cases and 26 new deaths Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Twenty-two deaths occurred between Jan. 20 and Feb. 2, 2021, in the counties below.

Four COVID-19 related deaths occurred between Dec. 18, 2020, and Jan. 28, 2021, identified from death certificate reports.

As of Wednesday, Feb. 3, there have been 277,322 total cases of the virus since mid-March 2020, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 6,158 total deaths.
The state health department estimates there have been 222,812 recoveries. The MSDH did not update its recoveries total on Monday or Tuesday. As of 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, the recoveries total has yet to be updated.
