JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 684 new COVID-19 cases and 23 new deaths Wednesday, Feb. 17.
New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 3 p.m. Tuesday. Six deaths occurred between Feb. 11 and Feb. 15 in the counties below.

Seventeen COVID-19 related deaths occurred between Dec. 12 and Feb. 15, identified from death certificate reports.

As of Wednesday, Feb. 17, there have been 289,398 total cases of the virus since mid-March, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 6,524 total deaths.
The state health department estimates there have been 264,456 recoveries.
