JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The state health department reported 550 new cases of the coronavirus and 6 new deaths Friday, June 26.
The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) updates its case totals each morning based on test results from the previous day.
New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 6 p.m. Thursday.

- Wayne - 1
As of Friday, June 26, MSDH estimates 17,242 people have recovered from the virus.
Since mid-March, when the state reported its first case of the virus, MSDH has reported 25,066 total cases and 1,022 total deaths.
