JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 1,452 new COVID-19 cases and 75 new deaths Tuesday, Jan. 26.
New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 6 p.m. Monday. Forty-nine deaths occurred between Jan. 15 and Jan. 25, 2021, in the counties below.

As of Tuesday, Jan. 26, there have been 266,598 total cases of the virus since mid-March 2020, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 5,852 total deaths.
The state health department estimates there have been 222,812 recoveries.
