JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 1,271 new COVID-19 cases and 17 new deaths Thursday, Nov. 12.
New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 6 p.m. Wednesday. Sixteen deaths occurred between November 5 and November 11 in the counties below.

One COVID-19 related death occurred November 5, identified from death certificate reports.

As of Thursday, Nov. 12, there have been 130,665 total cases of the virus since mid-March, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 3,514 total deaths.
The state health department estimates there have been 111,430 recoveries.
