JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - A retiree from the Federal Bureau of Investigation will soon be the leader of the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security.
Mississippi Department of Public Safety Commissioner Marshall Fisher announced Wednesday that Jenny Williams will take over on December 1.
She is the current director of the Mississippi Analysis and Information Center, also known as the Fusion Center.
Williams has 31 years of law enforcement experience. She retired from the FBI in December 2014.
During her time with the FBI, she oversaw various criminal programs and worked closely with criminal intelligence analysts.
