HAMILTON, Ala. (WTVA) - Alabama state troopers continue to investigate a fatal crash that happened Friday morning.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash happened shortly before noon on Highway 19, approximately 15 miles north of Hamilton.
The stretch of highway is between Vina and Hamilton.
Trooper Gregory Corble said the driver of an SUV ran off the road, struck a guard rail and tree, and overturned.
The vehicle then caught fire.
Corble did not identify the victim, saying identification is pending confirmation from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences and notification of next of kin.
