GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WTVA) - Former Ole Miss wide receiver Van Jefferson has announced that he will transfer to Florida.

Jefferson had 87 receptions for 967 yards and four touchdowns in two seasons with the Rebels. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining and would need a waiver from the NCAA to play immediately.

Last week, former Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson announced his transfer to Michigan.

The NCAA announced sanctions against Ole Miss on Dec. 1, which include a bowl ban in 2018. The school is appealing.
