TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Wednesday marked the first day of an early signing period, and four Tupelo High student-athletes are headed to the next level.
Golden Wave pitcher and shortstop Peyton Puckett signed with Mississippi State's baseball program, while his teammate, Mack Scruggs, signed with Itawamba Community College.
Lady Wave softball player Kat Knight signed with Jones, and soccer standout Anna Fleming Quaka signed with Mississippi College.
Meanwhile, Nettleton's Riley Mayhew, a five-time individual state golf champion, signed with Anderson University, a Division II school in South Carolina.
