National college baseball publications have ranked the Cardinals at, or near, the top of their preseason Top 25 polls. D1Baseball has the Cardinals at No. 1 and the Rebels at No. 25.

On Thursday, Rebel fans rushed the right-field bleachers at Swayze Field to grab a spot for Friday’s opening day, a sight that excites Head Coach Mike Bianco and his players.

The Rebels’ three-game series versus the Cardinals is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Friday, followed by a 1:30 p.m. first pitch on Saturday, and finally a noon start Sunday.
