Starkville wins Class 6A boys championship

The Yellowjackets finished the season with a 30-1 record.

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - Zeke Cook scored a game-high 15 points as Starkville defeated Meridian for the MHSAA Class 6A boys state championship on Saturday.

Cook, the game's MVP, also grabbed nine rebounds.

Tyler Talley scored 12 points and Atavius Jones had eleven points for the Yellowjackets (30-1), who won the school's fourth state title and first since 2015.

Traemond Pittman led Meridian (26-5) with thirteen points.
