SOUTH PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) - South Pontotoc High School's Mattie Pilcher has signed with Northeast Mississippi Community College's softball program.
Pilcher, a second baseman, hit .622 during slowpitch season as the Lady Cougars won a state championship. She was named first-team All-State and All-Division.
Pilcher hit .370 during the 2018 fastpitch season.
Pilcher is already familiar with Northeast - her mother is a former Lady Tiger softball player.
"I've always wanted to play at Northeast, ever since I was a little girl, and my mom playing there and everything, it just seemed like a big opportunity for me, to be able to play there," Pilcher said.
