SPRINGVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - South Pontotoc senior baseball player Kirby Ross has signed with Coahoma Community College's baseball program.

Ross, a senior, is off to a great start in the 2019 campaign.  His ERA sits at a microscopic 0.79.  Ross has more than 200 strikeouts in his high school career.  He also has a career batting average of .329 with 11 homeruns.

"I've been dreaming of this moment (signing to play college baseball) since I was a kid," said Ross.  "To see it come true is surreal for me.  I just hope to get over there, (Coahoma CC) and work hard, and get better as a player and a person, and help them win some ballgames."
