OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss’ Saturday home football game against Alabama will now take place a little later in the evening than originally scheduled.
Game time has been changed to 6:30 p.m. local time, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) announced Thursday.
Hurricane Delta as of 9 a.m. on Oct. 9, 2020.
The game was originally scheduled to start at 5 p.m. local time.
The decision to slightly delay the game is due to Hurricane Delta, which is expected to make landfall along the Gulf Coast Friday afternoon.
“The change in start time was made to provide a forecast for better game conditions,” the SEC announced.
ESPN will still televise the game.
The WTVA Severe Weather Authority team is monitoring Delta and will provide updates throughout the week and weekend.
