SALTILLO, Miss. (WTVA) - Saltillo High School's Joshua Peek signed with the cross country program at Blue Mountain College on Friday.

Peek has been running cross country for the Tigers since the sixth grade. He was a part of Saltillo's state championship teams in 2012 and 2015, and individually, he was a region champion in 2016 and 2017.

"I'm super excited to be running at Blue Mountain," Peek said. "It gets me closer to God and helps me get further in my running career and help me become a better person."

"I've seen him grow from a skinny little kid to a good young man," said Charles Covington, Saltillo's cross country coach. "I've watched him grow physically and mentally, spiritually. I know that moving on to Blue Mountain is gonna be a great thing for him."
