BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. (BMC Athletics/WTVA) - Blue Mountain College Softball has announced the addition of Daniel Rowland to its coaching staff.
Rowland, a Boonville, Miss. native, will be head coach Ken Hardwick's new assistant coach for the 2019-20 season.
A New Site High School alum, Rowland spent the 2018-19 season as a volunteer assistant at Itawamba Community College where he was a pitching coach and helped lead the Indians to a 2019 MACJC Tournament title and an appearance in the National Tournament.
"It is a blessing to join Coach Hardwick," Rowland replied. "He is a great coach and a great mentor, on and off the field. I am excited to get things started."
Hardwick commented, "I am very excited to add Daniel as an assistant coach. He's a young and energetic guy who shows a lot of passion for softball through his work ethic and has gained a lot of knowledge over the past several years. He is a great addition to our staff."
The Toppers are coming off their best season in program history where they won 27 games and made an appearance in the SSAC Championship game.
