OXFORD, Miss. (Ole Miss Athletics/WTVA) - Coming off of a season full of exciting wins, Ole Miss softball looks to compete in 2019 with a 55-game schedule featuring 16 opponents that earned a 2018 NCAA Tournament bid, including three that advanced to the Women's College World Series.

Head Coach Mike Smith enters his fifth year at the helm of the Ole Miss program, accomplishing three straight NCAA Tournament appearances, the programs first SEC Tournament Championship and their first visit to the NCAA Super Regionals.

The Rebels will host 26 games at the Ole Miss Softball Complex, while playing on the road 18 times and competing in 11 neutral site contests. Ole Miss will take part in four tournaments, three away from home and one in Oxford.

Ole Miss kicks off the 2019 campaign by heading to Orlando, Florida for the Friends of Jaclyn Tournament, hosted Feb. 7-10 by UCF. The Rebels will start things off on Thursday facing the Knights on their home field. On Friday they will play Ohio State before Saturday's double header against Minnesota and George Mason. Ole Miss closes out the tournament Sunday morning, taking on Ohio State once more.

The Rebels will then take a trip way out west, beginning with a road matchup against Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles, California Feb. 14 before competing in the Stacey Winsbery Memorial Invitational (Feb. 15-17) co-hosted by UCLA and Long Beach State. Ole Miss opens up the event on Friday in Westwood with a pair of games against UC Riverside and Cal Poly. Saturday will include a matchup against Oregon State and an afternoon battle against UCLA. The Rebels finish things off by travelling to Long Beach, facing Boise State.

With the month of February coming to an end Ole Miss will head out to Austin, Texas challenging opponents Feb. 22-24 as part of a tournament hosted by Texas. The Rebels will begin play on Friday facing Tulsa and Sam Houston State. Saturday's contests will include a rematch with SHSU and a meeting with the host Longhorns, with the Rebels and UT closing out the tournament on Sunday.

After starting the first three weeks of the season on the road, Ole Miss returns to Oxford to host the Ole Miss Classic Mar. 1-3. The Rebels welcome Pittsburgh and Nicholls State to the Magnolia State for the classic, facing off against Pitt three times and the Colonels twice over the three-day span.

With the tournament slate concluded, Ole Miss hosts Austin Peay for a non-conference matchup Mar. 6 before opening up the SEC portion of its schedule with a three-game series Mar. 8-10 battling Arkansas in Oxford.

The Rebels continue their slate of home games as they face Memphis on Wednesday Mar. 13 before a full weekend of matchups at the Ole Miss Softball Complex. The Rebels will face Samford Friday to start things off, battling Oklahoma State the following day. The Rebels will conclude the weekend on Sunday with respective rematches against OSU and Samford.

Ole Miss will travel east for its first road SEC series of the year, facing South Carolina in Columbia Mar. 22-24. The Rebels will continue conference play in Oxford the following weekend, hosting Florida Mar. 29-31.

The following Tuesday, Ole Miss makes way north to the Music City Apr. 2 for an evening contest with Belmont in Nashville, Tennessee before continuing on to face Kentucky in Lexington Apr. 5-7. The Rebels open a five-game home stand on the 10th against UAB, SEC foe Missouri and UT Martin.

Ole Miss will go right down the road to face in-state rival Mississippi State Apr. 18-20 in Starkville. The Rebels will conclude their non-conference schedule against another Magnolia State foe on the 24th, taking on Southern Miss in Oxford.

The Rebels wrap up the regular season with six-straight SEC games over the season's final two weekends, hosting Tennessee Apr. 26-28 before heading to Athens for a battle with Georgia May 3-5.

Ole Miss will look to compete in the SEC Tournament May 8-11, with Texas A&M set to host the four-day event in College Station.
