OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA/Ole Miss Athletics) - Ole Miss baseball pitchers Ryan Rolison and Dallas Woolfolk have become synonymous when it comes to preseason national honors, and Monday morning, the pair were added to another list as Baseball America released its 2018 Preseason All-America Team.

Rolison and Woolfolk both earned a spot on the second team, picking up their third preseason all-America honors of the year. Woolfolk has already earned preseason honors from Collegiate Baseball and D1Baseball, while Rolison adds to his list of accolades from Perfect Game and D1Baseball.

The southpaw is coming off a Freshman All-America season (Collegiate Baseball) where he went 6-3 with a 3.06 ERA. The Jackson, Tennessee, native earned a spot in the rotation towards the end of the 2017 campaign, and allowed the third-fewest runs (23) among stat-eligible pitchers. He was named to the SEC All-Freshman team and held opposing hitters to a .242 clip in 61.2 innings.

Woolfolk, one of only three relievers on Baseball America’s preseason teams, is coming off a dominant 2017 campaign where he finished one off the school’s single-season record in saves with 12. The righty held opposing hitters to a .200 clip and maintained a 41-5 strikeout-to-walk ratio across 37.2 innings of work.

Rolison and Woolfolk are two of 12 players from the Southeastern Conference on one of the three preseason lists, and Ole Miss is second in terms of representation across the league behind only defending College World Series Champion Florida with four preseason honorees.

Woolfolk, Rolison and the 2018 Rebels open the season with eight-straight at O-U Stadium/Swayze Field, beginning Feb. 16-18 with Winthrop.

High pressure will continue to dominate our weather forecast over the next few days. This will at least keep our area dry for our Wednesday and maybe a little room for a few showers on our Thursday, however nothing major.
