OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Ole Miss Rebels picked up its first conference win of the season with a stellar defensive performance against Auburn, 72 to 61.
Despite an off-game from star point-guard Devontae Shuler (7 points, 10 assists), the Rebels launched out to a 14-point lead at halftime and staved off any Tigers run with its aggressive man to man defense.
Ole Miss held Auburn to a 36% field goal percentage and forced 16 turnovers.
The Rebels (6-3, 1-1) stay at home this weekend against South Carolina (3-2, 1-1).
