(WTVA) - Several Ole Miss and Mississippi State football players find themselves on preseason lists for annual college football awards.
Ole Miss wide receiver A.J. Brown was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List.
Brown is joined by MSU quarterback Nick Fitzgerald.
The Maxwell Award annually honors America's College Player of the Year.
MSU's defensive linemen Jeffery Simmons and Montez Sweat were both named to the Bednarik Award Watch List.
The Bednarik Award annually honors the best defensive player in college football.
