Northeast women, ICC men win

The Tigers hosted the Indians in a basketball doubleheader on Monday.

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Itawamba Community College's men's basketball team rallied from an 18-point second half deficit to defeat Northeast, 91-88, on Monday.

Joshua Greer led the Indians (7-6 overall, 2-2 North Division) with 22 points. Brian Halums had 20 and Tre Jenkins added 16.

JaQuante Bell scored a game-high 27 points and Denzel McDuffey had 22 for the Tigers (12-4, 3-2).


In the women's game, Adallice Young scored 15 points to lead Northeast past ICC, 63-60.

Tyra Tucker added 13 points for the Lady Tigers (11-5, 4-1). Lauren Fitch scored 18 points to pace the Lady Indians (8-5, 2-2).

ICC will host East Mississippi on Thursday with the women starting at 6:00 p.m. and the men following at 8:00 p.m.

Northeast visits Mississippi Delta on Thursday. Women's tipoff is at 6:00 p.m. with the men to follow in Moorhead.
