COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - Mississippi University for Women has hired Dylan Burnett as its new men’s soccer head coach.
The university's athletic department made the announcement on Tuesday.
He recently spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons on the women’s soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach at the University of Southern Mississippi.
From 2013-2014 he was a volunteer student assistant strength and conditioning coach at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee.
He also previously interned with the Mississippi State University football strength and conditioning team.
He played on MSU’s football team as a kicker in 2010.
A hip injury sidelined Burnett, and he later transferred to Lincoln Memorial to play soccer.
He is a 2014 graduate from LMU.
