BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WTVA) - The Southeastern Conference announced its 2019 Women’s Basketball postseason awards, honoring several local athletes.
Mississippi State’s Teaira McCowan was named Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.

Her head coach, Vic Schaefer, was named Co-Coach of the Year. He shares the honor with Kentucky's Matthew Mitchell.
Other honors include:
First Team All-SEC – Anriel Howard (MSU) and Teaira McCowan
Second Team All-SEC – Crystal Allen (Ole Miss)
All-Defensive – Jazzmun Holmes (MSU) and Teaira McCowan
