STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) – Mississippi State University has named Joe Moorhead as the school’s 33rd head football coach.
Moorhead most recently held the position of offensive coordinator for Penn State football.
This comes after longtime head coach Dan Mullen left to fill the same position at the University of Florida.
Moorhead will be formally introduced at a 10 a.m. press conference Thursday, November 30 in the Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex. It’s open to the public.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be a Mississippi State Bulldog,” Moorhead said. “I am thrilled to take the reins of an SEC program that has been as successful as this one has the past decade.”
