HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WTVA) - Louisville rallied from a two-touchdown deficit to defeat Poplarville, 25-20, to win the Class 4A state high school football championship on Saturday.
The Wildcats (15-1) won their ninth state football title, and the second under retiring head coach M.C. Miller, who guided Louisville to its previous championship in 2013.
Louisville quarterback Deonte Yarbrough, the game's MVP, threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 160 yards.
Poplarville finished with a 13-2 record.
