Lady Bulldogs not playing in Hall of Fame Challenge

The MSU women’s basketball team will not compete in the 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Challenge in Connecticut.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Mississippi State women’s basketball team will not compete in this weekend’s 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Challenge in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The event was canceled due to “COVID-related circumstances.”

The Challenge was scheduled for Nov. 28-29. The Lady Bulldogs were slated to play the University of Maine on Saturday and then face either the University of Connecticut (UConn) or Quinnipiac University on Sunday.

The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to begin the 2020-21 season on Dec. 2 in Starkville against the University of New Orleans.
