ICC's Lancaster named MACJC Baseball Player of the Week

The Indians will host Rend Lake (Ill.) College Saturday (Feb. 16) with first pitch set for 1 p.m. in Fulton.

FULTON, Miss. (WTVA/ICC Athletics) – Itawamba Community College sophomore outfielder Jackson Lancaster was named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Baseball Player of the Week in a league announcement Tuesday.

The Corinth native helped the Indians (2-0) earn an opening day sweep of Snead State (Ala.) Community College Saturday going 7-of-8 (.857 batting average) from the plate while driving in two runs and hitting a pair of doubles.

 

Lancaster went 3-for-3 in the 3-2 game one win with a double, two RBI and a walk and 3-for-4 with a double in the 8-4 game two victory. He was perfect in the field, recording five putouts on five opportunities in centerfield.
