Hunter Stovall will forgo senior season at Mississippi State

Stovall will sign with the Colorado Rockies.

UNDATED (WTVA) - Brett Hudson of the 'Columbus Commercial Dispatch' first reported the Mississippi State second baseman Hunter Stovall will forgo his senior season at MSU and sign with the Colorado Rockies.

The Rockies drafted Stovall in the 21st round of June's MLB Draft.

Stovall finished his junior season with a .321 batting average, 42 RBI, and two home runs.

Stovall was named to the College World Series all-tournament team.
