Hudspeth leaving MSU to become Austin Peay head football coach

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVA) - Mark Hudspeth is leaving Mississippi State's football staff to become the head coach at Austin Peay.

Hudspeth spent the 2018 season as the associate head coach and tight ends coach at MSU. He was also the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach for the Bulldogs in 2009 and 2010.

Hudspeth, a Louisville, Miss., native, spent seven seasons (2011-17) as the head coach of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

Austin Peay announced Hudspeth's hiring on Tuesday night. He'll be introduced on Wednesday.
