HATLEY, Miss. (WTVA) - Hatley High School's football team went 5-6 last season, and if not for injuries, the Tigers could have been even better.

Running back Nick Washington headlines this year's returning players, as the Tigers kick off their season on Aug. 23 against Hamilton.

Head coach Ken Adams says he was pleased with spring practice, which ended in Alabama.

"They put on the Gridiron Classic at Jacksonville State," Adams said. "It's a great opportunity for the kids to go play in that stadium, and get them away from Hatley, Mississippi, but it's been something that they've enjoyed, and great competition, great people that put it on."
