CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WTVA) - Former Northeast Mississippi Community College defensive lineman Sam Williams was named an NJCAA first team All-American.
Williams, an Ole Miss commit, had 75 tackles and 17.5 sacks in 2018.
Williams is the first-ever defensive first team All-American from Northeast, and just the third first-team All-American in program history.
"It's huge," said Williams. "I always underestimated myself. People always underestimate me, but God knows your plan. The fact that I came from nothing and turned into something shows that anybody can do it. Don't ever give up."
