SMITHVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Smithville football coach Michael Campbell announced Friday he’s stepping down as the Seminoles’ head coach.
“At this time, I am stepping down as the Head Coach of the Seminoles and pursuing another opportunity that I feel is best for myself and my family,” he stated.

Smithville hired Campbell in 2017 to lead the Seminoles football team. In his three years with Smithville, the Seminoles compiled a 28-11 record.
Campbell previously coached at Tupelo, New Hope and Itawamba AHS.
