Bulldogs climb again in national polls

Bulldogs are No. 16 in the AP Poll and No. 17 in the Coaches Poll.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA/MSU Athletics) - Following a fourth-quarter comeback at Arkansas for its eighth victory of the season, Mississippi State football has climbed in the national polls for the fourth straight week.

The Bulldogs (8-3, 4-3 SEC) moved up one spot to No. 16 in the Associated Press Top 25 and two spots to No. 17 in the Amway Coaches poll. MSU remains the SEC’s fourth-highest ranked team behind No. 1 Alabama, No. 6 Auburn and No. 7 Georgia.

State has been ranked for six weeks this season and 47 weeks in the Dan Mullen era. It’s also the 29th time that the Bulldogs are in the Top 20 under Mullen.

MSU closes the regular season on Thanksgiving when it battles Ole Miss for the Golden Egg at 6:30 p.m. live on ESPN.
