ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) - Aberdeen High School is now looking for a new head football coach.
Aberdeen School District Superintendent Jeff Clay confirms Eric Spann has stepped down.
Spann had been the head coach of the Bulldogs since 2015.
In four seasons, Spann guided Aberdeen to a record of 24-27, and a trip to the 3A north half championship game in 2015.
In 2016, 2017, and 2018, the Bulldogs lost in the first round of the MHSAA state football playoffs.
Spann spent two years as Aberdeen's offensive coordinator before replacing Mark Bray, who retired in 2015.
