TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The city of Tupelo has made some changes and improvements to its public transit system.
The city has changed some Tupelo Transit bus routes to include more popular stops and to make waiting times shorter for riders.
Some bus stops have been removed. These changes went into effect on Tuesday.
There are three routes; each one is represented by a color - blue, green, and yellow.

The blue route helps riders move to the north side of the city - including the Barnes Crossing area.
The green route accommodates riders in central Tupelo - including the North Mississippi Medical Center and Itawamba Community College.
The yellow route moves riders south - including Haven Acres and South Park Manor.
Tupelo Transit riders can also now use a mobile phone app to track the buses.
The app is called QRyde and is available on the iOS and Android app stores for free.
The app will include route information and bus stop locations.
