WATER VALLEY, Miss. (WTVA) - The Yalobusha County Nursing Home is working to contain and stop the spread of COVID-19 after confirming cases in the facility.
According to the nursing home’s hotline, there are 24 COVID-19-positive residents and 2 positive staff members.
The vast majority of the positive cases are showing no symptoms and are doing well, according to Nursing Home’s Facebook post.
Administrators at the Yalobusha County Nursing Home have already put procedures in place to help slow and stop the spread.
Before entering the facility, all employees must wear a face mask and get their temperature checked.
Visitation has also been restricted during this time.
Yalobusha Nursing Home administrators said they have ample amounts of PPE, and they are working closely with the Mississippi State Department of Health to perform mass testing in the nursing home in the near future.
