VERONA, Miss. (WTVA) - Verona police are still looking for one woman who was involved in a police chase Tuesday.

Driver James Jackson, 37, is charged with felony fleeing because he is accused of trying to drive away from police at a checkpoint.

Jackson wrecked his blue Chevy in a field on Southern Heights Road.

Inside the car with Jackson was his unidentified girlfriend, whom police believe was carrying drugs.

Police Chief J.B. Long says the woman hitched a ride from a passing car while her boyfriend was arrested.

A judge set bond for Jackson at $2,000.
