UNION COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Officials in Union County responded to several calls of vehicles stuck in flood water.

Union County EMA Director Curt Clayton says a woman was rescued from a car on County Road 116.

Clayton says calls started coming in around 7 a.m. Wednesday.

"We are just asking people if they see water across the road to turn around and go the other way," said Clayton.

As the water recedes, Clayton says it's heading down to the western part of the county.
