WINONA, Miss. (WTVA) - Winona police arrested a suspect for felony fleeing and drug possession Wednesday morning during a traffic stop on Powell Street.
The suspect fled when officers tried to stop him. Law enforcement followed him for more than 10 miles before the driver lost control of the vehicle on Lodi Road and crashed into a tree. Police found 80 wrapped baggies of crystal meth and marijuana.
Officers charged Mondello Holman with fleeing, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and some traffic violations.
An ambulance transported the passenger in the vehicle to Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital.
A judge set Holman’s bond at $125,000. His preliminary hearing will happen on Thursday at 9 a.m. in Winona City Court.
