WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) - The auto burglary suspect wanted in connection to an incident at a West Point school is in custody.
According to Clay County jail records, West Point police arrested Demarcus White, 22, on Saturday.
Police had been looking for him since the Thursday incident at Church Hill Elementary School.
White allegedly jumped over the school’s fence to break into a car.
A school resource officer caught White; however, he managed to escape into a nearby wooded area, police confirmed at the time.
The resource officer sustained an injury during the situation.
White faces three counts of auto burglary and one count of simple assault on a police officer.
