WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) - West Point police are searching for the two burglars who stole drugs from a local pharmacy.
Detective Eric Johnson said two people threw a brick or rock through a window to break into the Rose Drug Company early Wednesday morning.
The Rose Drug Company is located on Commerce Street.
Johnson said surveillance video from inside the store shows two young males dressed in white masks and white gloves.
He said he would describe the burglars as "athletic" because they made it in and out of the building in approximately 20 seconds. They also cleared the counter on their way out, said Johnson.
The burglars stole 6.25 milligrams of promethazine and a couple of hydrocodone pills.
Police are working with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
Employees at the pharmacy said they plan to install cameras on the outside of the store and install better lighting to prevent another burglary.
