AMORY, Miss. (WTVA) - The Amory Police Department issued a new statement on Monday about the Aug. 12 murder of Judy Baxter.
Police last issued a statement on Aug. 23.
The new statement is below:
"It has been a few weeks since we have discussed the homicide that occurred on August 12th 2021 on 12th Ave North. We would like to start off again by reassuring that nothing has been forgotten or being swept away. Amory Police Department along with county and state agencies continue to process data and information. Some processes are instant and some take time. We feel like with the dedication of those working the case and your continued support and prayers, we will prevail. We also continue our prayers for the family, those directly affected, and the community."
Someone killed Baxter at her house on 12th Avenue North.
